Generation (G9) Software Inc. is a proud service provider to the PoolTogether protocol.
For this proposal we are offering to host the Cabana apps and provide developer support.
Scope of Work
Motivation
The G9 team has been an extremely proud contributor to the PoolTogether protocol. We began research and development on PoolTogether V5 more than a year ago, and in a month we’ll have deployed V5 to six chains. The protocol is fully autonomous and immutable; new assets can be added by anyone, the protocol can be deployed by anyone, and the POOL token plays a critical role. We have achieved all of our goals!
Research and development is complete, so it’s now time for the community to focus on adoption and maintenance of our existing deployments. In an effort to reduce the protocol’s burn rate and extend the runway, G9 will be offering a reduced set of services starting Q4 2024.
Goal
Our goal is to ensure that PoolTogether continues to thrive. This means continued hosting for the apps, bug fixes, and developer guidance for those wishing to spin up their own apps, bots, vaults, or otherwise.
Deliverables
Hosting of Cabana Suite of Apps
G9 will continue to host the Cabana suite of apps at https://cabana.fi.
Developer Support
G9 will retain developers and have them on call to:
Fix any issues with the apps or infrastructure to ensure uptime
Assist the community as needed
Provide guidance for builders and partners
The developers will be available on Discord and at least one representative will attend the Council calls each week.
While not strictly related to this proposal, I think it’s important to note that we’ve terminated the Immunefi Security Bounty program and refunded $35,600 back to the DAO see on Etherscan.
We won’t have the developer bandwidth to triage and mitigate smart contract issues, so we’ve canceled the program.
So the Dao paid for the hack or G9 did out of their security budget?
The goal was 10x wallets this quarter. In the last 3 months there was a growth less than 50 Unique wallets on chain but almost 17000 growth off chain through delegation. Are we in crypto or web2?
With voting ending today, I think it is fair to say that only G9 employees and one other believe that G9 should receive as little as $41,000 to continue work/maintenance.
In my experience G9 has failed to support developers and I have shared my concerns. Now this protocol now has zero active development because of it and looking back my words ring more true than ever. You called it slander and attempted to discredit me. Developers beware as it is all a smoke show.
It will be interesting to see how you try to change my words to deflect the points mentioned in this message.
