I love the idea of adding $1 prizes. It’d make the protocol even more addicting.

- Even at the $50 level, gas fees on Ethereum won’t make sense. I actually think, this is worse for people on Ethereum because instead of having 48 $100 prizes we now have 48 $50 prizes. A couple $100 prizes make more sense to claim than the $50 ones.
Claim costs were around $100 on Ethereum last I checked, so $800 and $200 prizes are actually worth the claim. $100 isn’t worth it unless you win two, so $100 prizes don’t make sense on Ethereum. Since only the grand prize is worth it, adding 15 more prizes would increase Eth prizes by 15x! It’s much better for Ethereans.
- With this proposal we will only have 256 prizes that are $10 or great. So this is a dramatic reduction in $10 or greater prizes and only adds 15 prizes in the $11+ range
We’re also adding 63 prizes for $50 and greater; making the possible upside much more exciting. If we have just one mega-prize and a bunch of tiny prizes then the experience will become too uniform: users will win the tiny prizes all of the time and have an infinitessimal chance of winning the one big prize. It means they’ll be basically only winning one prize: $1. Sometimes $10. Having more variety makes it more interesting!

Given that we have multiple opinions going on, I am making a poll for people to choose what they like. You can choose up to 4 options if you think that many of them are better than what we have (or just choose the one that you like the most).
What options do you support regarding the change of prizes distribution?
- Prize distribution should stay as it is
- We should add $1 prizes to the current distribution
- We should add prizes lower than $10 but higher than $1
- We should create a more disperse prize distribution (similar to Brendan’s proposal)
- We should dedicate additional funds to increase the grand prize

I like everything about this except the $1 prizes. Would rather see more $3 or $5 prizes instead of $1.

Agree with Tuna. I expressed this during the call and also in the discord, and will re-iterate here - I don’t think we should do $1 at this time. $3 or $5 sgtm.

I really like the once a week/once a month prize idea as discussed in the community call.
Then we can advertise big jackpots.
Also I think we should reduce overall distribution.
Current rate is already so high it’s hard to ramp up and be sustainable.
Would like to see a cut to 50k/week or similar and then gradually increase with TVL.

I like #1 but I’d propose a small amendment. Instead of $800 for the 3 prizes I would go to $500. Option #1 is actually $2,000 more PER DAY not per week. So cutting $800 to $500 makes it only ~$1,000 more per day. I think that’s much better.
